Just two miles northwest of Boston lies the city of Somerville. Home to numerous “squares” including the popular Assembly, Sullivan, Porter and Davis Squares. Somerville has seen tremendous growth over the past 30 years in particular. The Red Line T service was extended to Davis Square in 1984 which brought much revitalization to the area in the way of new businesses making for a popular place to live. In addition, the new wave of biotech industry that has flooded nearby Cambridge had caused for a spill over in residents to the more affordable Somerville area.
Today Somerville has continued to thrive. With close proximity to Boston and accessible by both the Red and Orange line T, it is a viable option for a quality neighborhood. Desirable amenities including the Outlets at Assembly Row continue to emerge and offer shopping and dining. The landscape for housing consists of many multi family residences, many that are now condominiums that have been rehabbed, providing an array of options for buyers.
